As I mentioned on the About Me page, I am a HUGE music fan, and when I first read E L James’ Fifty Shades trilogy, I just loved the way she incorporated music into the story. I’m sure there are probably others but, I had never read a romance novel that did that before. But it just made so much sense to me! I’m a firm believer in the idea that music is truly the soundtrack of our lives. No one would ever dream of making a movie or even a TV show without music so … why can’t a novel have a soundtrack too? After all, books have the ability to transport us to worlds we may otherwise never visit – just like movies do. So why shouldn’t music be a part of that journey?
With that notion in mind, each book in the Pierced trilogy also has its own soundtrack, or playlist, and I really tried very hard to stay true to both Joshua’s and Samantha’s characters and personalities as I selected the music. Each song was chosen with the utmost care in order to either help set the mood of the scene in the book, or to convey the emotion of the person listening to or thinking about the song in the story. Or sometimes both.
On this page I’ll give you a track listing of each soundtrack as the books are released and, if I can manage it (I’m not really all that tech savvy, you know), a link to a YouTube video so you can listen to the song. Here we go…
